Railing & Fencing Fabrication in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor

A railing is a safety component before it is a design feature. Height, gap spacing and how firmly the posts are fixed matter more than the pattern — particularly on a staircase or a balcony with a drop behind it.

Cost Factors

What affects the cost of Railing & Fencing Fabrication?

Understanding what drives price helps you compare quotes fairly and prepare useful details for assessment.

Length in foot run

Priced per foot run, so the total length is the main driver.

Height and infill design

Taller railings and closely spaced balusters use more material and more welding.

Fixing substrate

Fixing into sound concrete is straightforward; fixing into tile, thin slab or damaged edge needs extra work.

Site conditions

Staircase railings follow a rake and need setting out individually, which takes longer than a straight run.

Materials

Common materials for Railing & Fencing Fabrication

Materials are chosen based on property type, usage and budget. We use standard trade materials suited to Malaysian homes.

Mild steel sections

Standard for railings and fencing; strong, weldable and repairable.

Primer and topcoat

Surfaces prepared, primed and topcoated, since coating is what determines outdoor life.

Our Process

How we carry out Railing & Fencing Fabrication

01

Measure and set out

We measure and mark post positions, checking the fixing substrate at each one.

02

Fabricate

Sections are fabricated to the measured dimensions and the agreed design.

03

Fix the posts

Posts are fixed securely into the structure — this is the part that determines whether the railing feels solid.

04

Install and weld up

Sections are installed, joints welded and dressed.

05

Coat and check

Surfaces are primed and topcoated, and the railing checked for firmness along its length.

FAQs

Railing & Fencing Fabrication — Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions customers ask us most about this service.

What height should a railing be?+

It depends on where it is and what is behind it. A balcony with a significant drop needs more height than a decorative rail at ground level, and the gap between balusters matters if young children use the space. We will discuss the position with you and recommend a height suited to it rather than a default.

My existing railing feels loose. Can it be refixed?+

Often yes, and it is usually the fixing rather than the railing that has failed. What we check first is why: a post that has worked loose because the concrete around it has spalled needs that repaired, otherwise it will loosen again. Simply tightening the same fixing is a short-term answer.

Can you match my existing railing design?+

Usually we can get close, especially for common patterns. Older decorative sections are sometimes no longer available, in which case we will show you the nearest match and let you decide, rather than fabricating something that visibly does not belong.

How do I stop a railing rusting?+

Rinse it occasionally, especially if it is near a road or exposed to rain, and touch up any chip in the coating promptly. Rust starts wherever the coating breaks — at a weld, a fixing point or a knock — and once it is under the paint it keeps going. Small touch-ups avoid large repairs later.
