A lot, and it is fair to expect that. Fine dust travels, and tile debris is heavy. We seal off access routes and protect what stays, but if you are living in the property, plan for the room to be out of use and for dust to need cleaning afterwards.
It depends. Tiling over is possible when the existing tiles are firmly bonded and the extra floor height is acceptable. Hacking is the right call when tiles are hollow or lifting, when the floor height cannot rise, or when a bathroom needs waterproofing on the slab.
We bag and remove it from the property as part of the job. What varies is disposal at the other end: some condominiums and councils charge for bulk waste or require a specific contractor, and where that applies it is a cost we will flag before starting rather than after.
Done properly, no — the aim is to take off the tile and adhesive without gouging the substrate. What we do sometimes find is that the substrate was already uneven or patched under the old tiles. We tell you if that is the case, because it affects whether levelling is needed before retiling.
