Often yes. If there is a ceiling void or an accessible route above, the cable can run without chasing. Where a wall switch is needed and there is no route, chasing is the alternative, and that means making good and repainting afterwards. We agree the route with you first.
LED downlights draw very little, so a handful of extra points rarely troubles a lighting circuit. It is still worth checking rather than assuming, particularly in an older house where the lighting circuit may already be serving more than it was designed for.
Most customers choose their own, since the fitting is a design decision. We install and test whatever you supply. If a fitting is unusually heavy or needs a specific mounting, tell us in advance so we can plan the fixing.
Not necessarily. Flickering LEDs are frequently a dimmer compatibility issue rather than a wiring problem — many older dimmers were designed for filament bulbs and do not control LED drivers well. We check both, because replacing the dimmer is a much smaller job than rewiring.
