Plumbing
A toilet that runs continuously is one of the few faults that costs you money every hour it is left — the cistern refills silently and the water bill shows it long before you notice the sound.

Cost Factors
Understanding what drives price helps you compare quotes fairly and prepare useful details for assessment.
A flapper is a small part; a full flush valve assembly costs more.
Concealed and wall-hung cisterns take longer to access than a close-coupled unit.
Common mechanisms are stocked; an older or imported model may need a specific part.
Our Process
We identify whether the leak is at the fill valve, the flush valve or the pan seal.
The failed part is replaced rather than patched.
Water level and flush volume are set so the flush is effective without wasting water.
We run several flushes and check for silent refill.
FAQs
Straight answers to the questions customers ask us most about this service.
Put a few drops of food colouring in the cistern and do not flush. If colour appears in the pan within ten or fifteen minutes, water is passing the flush valve. It is a genuinely useful test and costs nothing.
Financially, usually yes. A continuously refilling cistern passes a surprising volume over a month, and it is one of the more common reasons for an unexplained water bill increase. It is also one of the cheaper plumbing faults to fix.
Not quite. A leak at the base usually means the pan seal or the connection to the soil pipe, rather than the flush mechanism. It is still repairable, but it involves lifting the pan, so we would want to see it before quoting.
Usually yes, through the access panel that concealed cisterns are required to have. If your installation has been tiled over without an access panel, that changes the job considerably and we would discuss it with you first.
